1.50 lbs flank steak (skirt steak or round steak works well, too)
 ¼ cup cornstarch
 2 tbsp olive oil
 1 tbsp minced garlic (or more!)
 ¾ cup soy sauce
 ¾ cup brown sugar
 ¾ cup water
 1 white or yellow onion, chopped (chunks or slivers)
 1 package of green onions

cut meat into thin strips. Place meat and cornstarch in a ziplock bag. Shake until meat is well coated.

put olive oil, soy sauce, garlic, water, brown sugar in slow cooker. Stir well.

add sliced onion and meat to slow cooker, and stir until meat is well coated in sauce

cook 2-3 hours on high, or 3-4 hours on low - untill cooked throughout, and tender.

once complete, slice green onions, and mix in before serving.

Serve over rice.

I don't normally post recipes I haven't modified heavily, but this one was worth it - I significantly increaed the garlic, and replaced carrots with the onion.
