Here are some static resources – things that either aren’t blog-worthy, or that I’m hosting for general use.



ARRL Section Map-


This map is a resource that I’ve used for several years for tracking progress towards a sweep.  An interesting effect can be noted if each section is colored in using a colored pencil by what band it was worked on – it allows the user to actually visualize propagation.

This comes from the N3FJP logging program originally, but I modified it a bit (blanked out colors, moved a couple sections…  I plan on eventually putting up a better quality version…

and here is the original version – it worked fine until they split up Ontario.  The main concept was to skew it a bit – I shrunk Canada so I could more easily color all of the sections.secmap-skewed
