old wagon wheels at a farm

Simple oil and vinegar dressing (And salad) with my own twist.

Dressing
 2 tbsp Splenda
 1 tsp salt
 0.25 tsp pepper
cup white vinegar (note 1/8 cup = 2 tbsp!)
  cup apple cider vinegar
cup salad oil (vegetable or canola oil)
Salad
 1 head, Iceberg Lettuce
 1 medium white onion
1

remove core from lettuce (bash the base on the counter, then twist and remove). Remove outer layer and discard.

2

cut up lettuce, and wash (a salad spinner is great for this). Lettuce may be "shredded" for a more authentic salad)

3

slice onion into small slivers

4

toss onions and lettuce into bowl and mix

5

mix all dressing ingredients in a bowl or cruet

6

dump dressing on salad, and mix well

7

Chill and serve (note, salad and dressing may be made and chilled separately, then shaken and combined just before serving - either way, salad is est served chilled).
