Tulsa is known to be the home of the Giants – photos to come soon – those are all on the big camera. They had a neat shop right by the giants with a mix of antiques, art, and other things, where I saw these guys – and didn’t want to pay for them.

I did see a closed restaurant outside of OKC that I wanted to get some signs from – but nothing small enough to acquire:

I did get to catch up with a good friend who had recently retired, and he gifted me a handful of books – including one that I had given him when he left that company – any my first piece of actual Collins Radio gear – something with a Collins logo that’s NOT a swing line stapler!

I pulled the plug in El Reno, OK. Not my original plan, but it worked out quite well. I will say – while the big cities hold a lot of history and stuff…. the outskirts and small towns are where the really cool stuff is. El Reno has a cool B17 on display by one of the restaurants – I was going to stop and eat there, and while it looked to be a roadside diner type… it was a lot more formal than what I was in the mood for. I found a diner near the downtown district (near the caboose and sign) that had (hands down) one of the best burgers I’ve had in recent memory!
