Weatherford, OK – I had to stop there… since I live in Weatherford, TX… turns out, this day would take me between the two Weatherfords!

On to Clinton, OK to see what was supposed to be one of the bigger museums… I was actually a little excited…. and… they were closed in the middle of the day. I wasn’t the only disappointed visitor.

I did make it back to Shamrock, where I wanted to buy the “I drove Route 66” Magnet at the Conoco Tower. I wouldn’t buy it on my way out, because I hadn’t made the trip yet. Just my luck. Saturday… and they were closed for the day. No magnet there for me… but one left turn, and I was headed back to Weatherford.
I made it. All 2,448 miles. Detours. Wrong turns. Off-road adventures. Grumpy County Mounties. Closed Museums. Car part flying off.
Scenery that I cannot even describe. History. A lot of fun people. Friends that I haven’t seen in far too long. I want to just turn around and do it all again.

Just for grins… I started messing with AI music generation. Maybe a bit hokey – it started the lyrics, and I fixed a lot of them based on this adventure. Hey… I like it, so that’s all that matters… right?
Now… I need to start processing all the photos off my camera… these have just been from my phone!
